Micromax launches Smarty A65 4.3 – First Micromax smartphone with Spreadtrum chipset

Consumer electronics company, Micromax has recently launched the Smarty A65 4.3 in India. This is the first Android smartphone from Micromax that runs Spreadtrum’s chipset. Micromax invested $10 million to make the smartphone runs Spreadtrum’s chipset. The Smarty A65 is right now available at FlipKart for Rs.4,999.

The Smarty A65 sports a 4.3-inch WVGA display. It runs on a single-core 1GHz Cortex A5 processor from Spreadtrum, Wifi support, a 2 MegaPixels primary camera with flash and a 0.3 secondary camera. It has 190MB (megabytes) internal user memory along with 512 MB RAM and Micromax’s official product page claims that it has 4GB ROM as well. But like most smartphones at this range, it doesn’t support but has Wifi connectivity along with GPRS/EDGE. It has dual-sim (GSM+GSM) support. It runs with Android Gingerbread 2.3.5, which is at part of most smartphones at this price point.
